Beginning of February

Here are the pictures from the rest of our California trip.  We had a really nice time, and I think we all needed it.  I think Matt missed us more than usual, so he's loving us a little extra this week now that we're back.  Thanks Mom and Chunk for putting up with our craziness for 2 plus weeks!  We love you guys!

 While Mom and I were shopping for her house, James and Heather babysat for us.  They took some cute pictures together, and had lots of fun while we were gone.  James even made macaroni and cheese for the girls at Matisyn's request.

We spent one night with Therese, Jill, Kate, and Leah.  We had dinner at Therese's house, and she had cute Valentine crafts for the girls when they were ready for a playing break.  Kate and Matisyn jump right back into their friendship.  When they saw each other they ran into each others' arms and hugged.  I wish they had more time to play together because they have so much fun.  The little girls played so well too.  Leah was a little buddy to Emilyn, running around, jumping and playing, and then making sure to tell someone when Emilyn decided to spit her carrots out on the bathroom floor and play with the glass fixtures!

The last night we were there we had a major bead mishap.  The girls were really fighting going to sleep (they thought flying the helicopter with Uncle Chunk was more fun), and Matisyn was loving the bead project with Heather.  She surprised her a couple nights earlier with a big pack of beads and supplies, and Matisyn was ecstatic.   She woke up the next morning asking how long it would take Heather to get to Grandma's house.  It was 6:30 in the morning!  So that night we made beads a priority.  Emilyn had been in bed, but had ended up back down with us again, due to Grandma's kind heart!  We were almost finished when Emilyn climbed up on a a chair and toppled the whole thing of beads and they went rolling all over the floor.  Chunk put Matisyn back to bed, Grandma put Emilyn back to bed and Heather and I got to work collecting the billions of beads.   It turned out to be quite entertaining.  It was all worth it anyway since Matisyn says the beads were one of her favorite things we did in California.  I never asked, but I'm guessing they kept finding beads after we left!  Thanks Heather for being so great with my girls.  They love you!

Heather was at Target our last night so I asked her to pick up some sparkle shoes for Emilyn.  She'd been wearing Matisyn's around and I'd been meaning to get her some the whole time we were there.  She LOVED them, and has worn them constantly since we got home.

We spent one of the colder days at Chuck E Cheese.  The girls both love that place.  Emilyn even let me put tokens into the machines so she could ride them.  She used to get scared when they moved, and she only liked to sit in them.  Matisyn was running all over trying out the different games.  It was nice because it wasn't busy.  Thanks mom for a fun day!
