We were so happy with where we chose to stay in Oregon.  We chose a little condo with two separate tiny bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, and living area. We stayed in Seaside at The Tides by the Sea.  Each unit is different and individually owned so we had no idea what we were getting, only pictures over the internet, but it was right next to the water, and it was perfect for us.  We were about a twenty minute drive away from Matt's sister Megan's new house in Hammond.  The first day we were there we wanted to get a few things in while the cousins were at school.  We went to breakfast at the Pig and Pancake, and then braved the very rainy, wet beach.  The big rock in the background is Haystack Rock.  Lucas was not happy with the wind, rain, and cold, but the girls were troupers stomping around in their rain boots and twirling their umbrellas.  We didn't last long, but we had a nice walk down to the rock, and explored some tide pools. 

 After the beach we drove down to Tillamook to check out the cheese factory.  We had a cheesy lunch, grilled cheese, and mac and cheese, with our favorite Tillamook ice cream for dessert.  Then we explored the factory.  The girls were antsy to get to see their cousins though, so we headed for Megan's house that evening.  We ordered pizza and visited with Megan while the kids happily ran around playing together.  They were so excited to be visiting the boys' house!
