Easter morning the kids woke up happy and very excited to see if the Easter Bunny came!  They ran downstairs to check out their baskets of treats and presents, and had a little time to enjoy them before it was time to get ready for church.  After church, and remembering the actual, wonderful meaning of Easter, we came back and had an Easter egg hunt.  The bunny had hidden the eggs outside in the backyard this year.  Some had candy, and some had things like finger crayons and finger nail polish.  Lucas was not interested after being so frustrated with not getting to have anything from the eggs the day before, and he was exhausted after church.  He lasted about 30 seconds and then went down for a nap while the girls hunted.  It was a success except for their refusal to get the eggs off the trampoline because they had seen a spider on there days earlier.  They have had some major anxiety with spiders and bugs lately.  Mostly Matisyn, and that rubs off on Emilyn.  I think Emilyn ended up saving the day and getting the eggs, but not before a lot of drama and tears on both girls' parts!  It has since died down a little, which we are all grateful for, but there is still some definite bug fears.  They spent the rest of the afternoon unloading eggs, eating treats, and admiring their piles.  We also had some good talks about Christ and the meaning of this holiday with them at dinner.  It's always fun to hear their cute perspective about things.

 Lucas's drill and tool set were a definite highlight for him.  He has spent hours playing with them since then.

 I tried to get some pictures of all three kids together before Lucas went down for a nap.  It was not successful!  He had no interest in cooperating!  The happiest pictures of him for the day were with him holding his drill!

 I was able to capture a few cute ones with us on the porch.
