Kaylee's 3rd Week
August 5-10

 Big set of water slides- take 2!  Our first set of slides lasted since Matisyn was 2, but sadly had to be retired last year.  The kids were so excited to get to play on the brand new slides!  We got the same one because we couldn't find one we liked better, and it has already brought lots of happiness!

 Poor Matisyn got some serious sun!  This whole new baby/four kids thing throws me off my mommy game for things like remembering to reapply sunscreen!  She refuses to let me put aloe on her because she thinks it stings, so she slathers herself with Aquaphor!

 We have been so grateful for all of our visitors!  The Thygersons and Barretts both brought us dinner on separate Sundays to come and meet our new baby, and we have had lots of friends and neighbors bring dinner and offer their help.  It is so nice to feel so taken care of and loved, and we love to show our girl off too!

 Cousin CJ came home from his mission to Germany.  We were so happy to see him!  There was a get together a couple of days after he got home, and the girls took great advantage of the ice cream machine and toppings that Uncle Dave and Aunt Becky so generously supplied.  I lost track of how many helpings they each had!

 Happy 14th anniversary to Matt and me!  We were home on our actual anniversary, but Mike and Wendy were nice enough to take care of all four of the kids for us so we could have a dinner out together later in the week.  We went to Magleby's.  It was nice to have some quiet time together after the crazy and exciting month we'd had!

 It's soccer time!  Emilyn and Matisyn are both playing on city rec teams.  Kaylee was out and about when she was pretty tiny getting to see her sisters play ball!

 We were a little late due to soccer games, but were able to go over to swim at Grandma's pool and celebrate Sam's 7th birthday.  The highlight were these little squishy, orby balls that Matt's mom and sister used to fill a swimming pool.  They were so much fun to step on, or lay down in if you are Lucas and Matt!

 She takes a binky sometimes, but always better from anyone other than me.  Matisyn prides herself on always getting her to take it!

 This girl loves to be held.  So this is my spot on the couch where I spend lots of time with her.  I have all my stuff next to me so I can get planning, reading, phone calls, appointments, etc. taken care of while I'm with her.  We have deemed the pile "couch desk," and it's working pretty efficiently!
