We got our carpets cleaned for the first time in five years. It was about time. For some reason it was really distressing for Matisyn to have everything out of place. She kept saying, "bring that back, that goes in here!" She really didn't like her room being taken apart. She moved from room to room saying, "Oh, no, Daddy made a mess, Mommy clean this up!" The highlight was the open space for her to run around, and we appreciated the clean carpet. I was sad that it didn't end up being the miracle I was hoping for, but it was definitely better. We moved things because we were too cheap to pay them to do it, but it was quite a job!
