Dorothy and the Lion

Matisyn chose to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (way back in December, she asked Santa to bring her a Dorothy dress) and Emilyn got to be a Lion.  The Lion was supposed to go with the Wizard of Oz theme, but Emilyn has been so in love with Lion King lately that she told us she was Mufasa.  She was the cutest little lion, just like her big sister was when she was two.  I surprised Matisyn with a basket with Toto and a wig for her costume.  I love how the wig looks on her.

Matisyn first got to dress up for her dance class.  She got to dance in her costume, and then they all exchanged treats at the end.

 Next, both kids got to dress up for the ward party.  Emilyn was very excited to finally get to wear her lion costume, but we couldn't get her to keep on her mane for more than a few minutes at a time.  She was very good at her "ROAR."

 Matisyn's good little friend Kayla showed up wearing a Dorothy costume too.  They were so cute together.  We didn't even plan it!

 Matt couldn't get over how cute Emilyn looked eating her soup in her lion costume so he just kept taking pictures.  What a cute Daddy!

 We played Minute to Win it games at the party and Matt got to participate.  He was especially good at the marshmallow stuffing!  Emilyn insisted on going up on stage with her Daddy.

Matisyn loved getting to go to school on "crazy hair" day!  I gave her some ideas, but the final look was her design!

While Matisyn was at school Emilyn got to try on the Dorothy costume.  She was so happy to be able to spin and twirl like Sissy.
