October 13-19
Kaylee is getting so strong and holding her head up so well. She doesn't mind tummy time and can keep herself up like this for a pretty long time. She loves when we come over and talk to her, and make sounds and faces with her.
Owen was at our house for a play date on his birthday. Since Lucas can't have cake, we celebrated with some whip cream and dinosaur candles. We sung to both boys and let them blow out their candle. They thought it was pretty great!
Matisyn loves to sing to Kaylee. I love this picture with Kaylee gazing up at her big sister and listening intently!
Emilyn and Lucas both love to help cook. We were making pumpkin pancakes. Lucas needs special flour, an egg substitute, and rice milk in his, so we make two different batters. I love my helpers!
Lucas and I picked out a baby sized pumpkin for Kaylee at Trader Joe's. He picked out one for himself and for each of his other sisters too. Fall and Halloween are perfect holidays for him because of his orange obsession. Everything is orange around this time, which makes him so happy!
It feels like Fall around here! The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling down, and it is time to visit some Halloween attractions! Over Fall Break we spent a day at Jaker's Pumpkin Patch. We drove south to try out a new place, and to make it closer to Matt's work. We met him for a long lunch. The kids loved picking out their own pumpkins, riding on the hay ride behind the tractor, visiting the animals, playing in the corn, and exploring the hay maze. Lucas was especially fascinated with this giant pig. He seriously stood outside the pen watching him forever! All three kids could have played in the corn for hours! I love days like this with my family!

Kaylee is starting to put everything she can reach into her mouth, and she is working on rounding out her cute belly!
After the shopping trip with my mom at City Creek, I had something to exchange, so we figured we would make a family day of it. The kids loved spending the day up there. We had lunch at the food court, explored the mall, watched the waterfalls, tried to avoid letting Lucas throw rocks into the little creek in the middle of the mall, walked around temple square, and rode the elevator to the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building to admire the view. The kids also liked watching the train and cars out the window. It was a surprisingly enjoying, non-stressful day with the whole family!

Matisyn was the hero and saved Kaylee's binky from the water when it fell in. She had to get a little wet to do it!
Matt had a sales conference in Moab. He got to relax on the last day and enjoy a hike to Delicate Arch.
