Downtown Lahaina, Pool, and Luau

 We went down to the pool to save seats for Mom, Chunk, and Linda before we headed off for a little time to explore.  The girls stopped and sat at these benches almost every time we passed them up and down the hill to the elevators.  They loved their own personal seats.

 We took our little family to have breakfast at The Plantation House, per John and Ayme's suggestion, and it did not disappoint.  It was delicious and the view was phenomenal.  Lucas fell asleep on the way and we were able to transfer him to his stroller.  He slept through the whole breakfast.  We were able have such a lovely time together, and enjoy the food and view.  The girls were so good, and it was nice to enjoy that time as a family.  Thank you Lucas for having a nice nap during our breakfast!
 

 After our breakfast we headed into Lahaina.  We went to the Banyan tree, walked around the shops and the girls got to pick out a couple of special things to take home, and we got shaved ice, which were super delicious!

 We hurried back to the resort to make it in time for lei making.  The girls were so excited to make their own leis.  Matisyn did such a great job, and was able to finish hers all by herself.  Emilyn lost interest half way through and left to check out the birds and I finished hers and mine.  It was a billion degrees and we were ready to swim when we were done!

 The girls loved the strawberry smoothies at the pool, and I couldn't get enough pina coladas!  We also ate A LOT of pineapple while we were there.  Our mouths were raw because we ate so much, but it was so good we couldn't stop!

 We went to The Old Lahaina Luau.  The tickets were sold out when we checked online, but the hotel ended up having some available, and I was SO excited that we got to go.  There were other luaus to choose from, but this one looked the best.  It was supposed to be the most authentic.  They had a lot of different activities going when we got there, they had the buried pig, delicious food, lots of drink choices, and great entertainment.  Thanks Mama for such a fun night!
Matt was nice enough to stay with Lucas so that I could take the girls.  He took him to sushi...Lucas had his usual...rice!

 The girls enjoyed some pre luau dancing on the lawn by the ocean.

 The girls did not like the smoke from the pig and they pretty much ran once they saw it.

 The coolest part of the show was when it started at sunset the dancers came in from both sides along the ocean.  It was so pretty.

 The girls all loved the show.  Emilyn was a trouper even though she was so tired.  The fingers went in her mouth and she snuggled her blanket, but she made it, and loved it.
