Whale Watching and Pool Day
March 26

 We walked this trail almost everyday.  It started at our hotel and ended down at John and Ayme's about a mile down.  There were shops and restaurants in the middle called Whaler's Village.  The path is all along the ocean.  Lucas always had a nice ride in his stroller!  We had to walk most of the way down to get to our catamaran to go whale watching.

 This was a highlight of the trip for me.  When Matt and I went to the big island a few years ago we were too late for the humpback whales, but were able to see pilot whales.  It was so amazing, and I was so excited to get a chance to see the humpbacks this time.  We lucked out and had a few circle our boat and hang around us for awhile.  There was a mom, baby, and companion.  Whales are such amazing animals!  We got to see some tail flips and Matt climbed down and put our water proof camera in the water to get some pictures of them swimming underneath us.

 The kids liked to hang out on the mesh part of the boat.  Lucas kept trying to walk and falling down.  It was pretty cute.  I love these shots with Lucas and his Daddy watching whales together!

 

 

 After whale watching we stopped for lunch at the Hula Grill, and then headed to the pool.  It was our last full day and we had to get in some more swimming!  These girls love their smoothies!

 Before swimming we took advantage of some hula lessons at the hotel.  Matisyn was especially excited, and couldn't wait to get to her lesson!  She's been singing the song since.  Matt joined in too!  I was behind the camera.

 The babies swimming with Grandma Karen!  Lucas spent most of the trip content to hang out on the big step.  He figured out the last day that it was super fun to jump off the step.  He would go under the water and we would pull him back up.  He is just like the girls, no fear and loves the water.  We will have to watch him close!  We were glad he waited on this game until the last day!  We got some fun underwater pictures of him!

 The kids had to get in as much sliding as possible on their last day!  Matisyn also got brave enough to try the super fast big slide on the last day.  She loved it and went a few more times trading off with Uncle Chunk, Matt, and me.  Grandma Karen even decided to try the big slide out!  Lucas loved going down the little slide with Mommy and Daddy!

 This was such a fun kids' area.  They could slide, climb, swim, dig, and play.

 Love this brave, happy little boy!  He likes to carry goggles everywhere, but he doesn't really like to wear them!

 

 We figured out a feature on our camera that would do a series of pictures quickly.  It was fun to use on the slide.

 We had such a fun last day!
