"The Cheese Stands Alone"
July 10, 11, and 12

The girls were so excited to perform their Cheese Stands Alone show.  They have been practicing twice a week for the last 6 weeks, and practicing their parts at home.  They both were cheeses!  Emilyn was Fondue and Matisyn was Mozzarella.  Emilyn had two speaking parts and Matisyn had a speaking part and a little solo part in one of the songs.  They sang the cheese song on stage in a small group, and it was the cutest part.  The cheeses were all supposed to have lots of make-up and 80's hair, which they loved.  They are both big fans of the crimper now!  It was nice for them to perform three times, and really get a chance to show off their practice.

Emilyn was a little star when she delivered her parts!  Her little voice cracked and she was clear and animated, Matt and I both thought we would melt with how cute she was!

Matisyn was so fun and expressive with her parts, and was an amazing little actress.  She was also a beautiful little singer for her small solo. 

Matt, Lucas and I went the first night, and I took the girls by myself to watch the second night, but the third performance the girls were ecstatic to have extra family in the audience.  Grandma Barb, Aunt Megan, David, Sam, and Abby all came to watch too!  We are so grateful that they came, and it meant so much to the girls. 

 

This was through the city arts program, and was so well put together.  It is a great way for kids to experience drama and theater and get an idea if it is for them.  My two little drama queens loved the whole experience!  We are already signed up for the Fall session!
