Labor Day & Matt's Birthday

We celebrated Matt's birthday a day early with our annual pool party. It was such a fun day with food, friends, family, homemade root beer, ice cream, swimming, and Matt's favorite German chocolate cake. As always we are so grateful for family and friends like family! Happy 38th birthday to Matt!!!

Lucas fell head first off the swing and crashed. He was bleeding through his nose and mouth and ended up with a pretty bad bump and bruise on his head. We thought he was looking pretty bad...until Sammy fell on his face and really gave us a scare.

Some sort of unexplainable play put on by Matisyn, Emilyn, David and Sammy. It involved wearing the life jacket upside down...I think it was a diaper, and the character was called "Super Ducky." They were extremely amused!
Sammy's poor face...this was soon afterwards, it definitely got worse.
