Matisyn had a great soccer season this year. The city team does a quick, but packed, five week season. They had games on Tuesdays and Saturdays and practices on Thursdays. She was a lot more aggressive this year, and actually went after the ball. She formed a new habit of sliding to kick the ball, which at first we kept telling her to stay off the ground, but after she had a few great saves, we just let her use her new skills! She was dramatic about being tired and hot, and about only wanting to wear the shin guards that are built into the socks! She loved playing middle best and ran herself up and down the field to get to the ball. She wasn't a big scorer, but had quite a few great assists to get goals. Her coach was the same as last year, her friend Hannah's mom, Haylie. She was great with the girls, and Matisyn learned a lot from her. It was fun to watch her improve and excel this year.
