On the third full day I woke up pretty warn out from all of our exploring! We had a slow morning, and then headed out for our Orca whale watching tour. We were hoping to see the whales up closer. We had a great set of guides, on a small boat, with only 6 guests total. We were able to ask lots of questions and spend a lot of time watching the whales. We followed the same group for a long time. They have a bunch of rules about getting too close so we weren't ever super close to them, although they swam right past another boat near us. We were happy to just be spending time out on the water together with the whales! The scenery on the boat ride was beautiful and we also got to see some more sea lions, seals, and birds. I loved seeing the occasional hawk or eagle soar above us throughout the trip! We spent the rest of the day driving around more of the island. We made a visit to the llama farm too! We stopped by Roche Harbor again planning to eat at their fancy restaurant, but it didn't open for a couple of more hours. We ended up driving back to Friday Harbor and eating at The Place right on the water. It was a great ending to our day!
