Fourth of July

We love the Fourth of July in Utah. This year we decided to take it easy in the morning since it's been a crazy time lately. We enjoyed swimming with lots of friends and family all afternoon, ate delicious food, homemade rootbeer and ice cream, and went to the temple lawn to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks at night. The night before the Peppers had us over for dinner. The kids played on the slide for a while before we ate, the Dads took a turn as well! After dinner we let the kids do sparklers. We weren't as careful as last year and Matisyn got a pretty bad little burn on her arm from one. Her princess icepack made it all better though.

Emilyn's second time in the pool, this time Dadddy got the chance to swim with her. She loved the water again, even with the crazy kids and even though she was getting really cold.

Ready, Set, Jump!

She can jump off the board, kick to the surface, swim and then turn over and float to breathe and rest. She really is a pretty good little swimmer already, but we have to be right by her to remind her to use the techniques she has learned. It's so fun to watch her!
