 My sister Debbie surprised me with a quilt she got me for baby Lucas.  It is soft and fluffy and pretty!  He loves to lay on it.  He is also starting to grow out of his 0-3 month clothes already.  The legs and arms on some outfits are getting short.

 Emilyn is starting to write her name, but still doesn't seem super interested in her letters.  Here she wrote the E, I, and L on her own and had help with the rest of the letters.  She at least knows there is an E in her name now!

 The girls love helping me bake.  We were feeling festive and decided to make some Christmas sugar cookies.  Their favorite part is helping to clean up the mixers!

 That night Matt was gone, we put Emilyn to bed, and Matisyn and Mommy had big girl time rolling out the dough and cutting it out.  A little while in Matisyn looked at me with bright eyes and smile and said, "I'm just having so much fun doing this with you Mom."  It was precious, and reminded me how much I want to make time to do things like this with her, and have special time together.

My good friend from home, Kathy, plays in the Orchestra at Temple Square.  She heard me say I have never made it to a concert and surprised me with tickets for their very beloved Christmas concert.  It was too hard to find babysitting for the kids so I decided to call my fellow new mom friend Ashly.  I figured since we both have new babies we could both use a night out.  It took so long to park we had to run the whole way over...in the rain!  It just added to the memories!  We lost our great seats front and center, but still had good ones over to the side in the front, and most importantly, we made it.  The concert was amazing, and it was fun to spend time together and be out without having kids to worry about.  Thanks husbands for holding down the fort!

 Little bundled up bear.  It's starting to get cold around here, but it's still nice to get some walks outside.  (That was a couple of weeks ago, lately it's been a frozen tundra with single digit temperatures, and ice and snow covering the sidewalks!)

 We love to do Christmas projects and activities leading up to the holiday.  Our girls get so excited about everything right now.  We made a gingerbread house for family home evening one night.    They were very proud of our creation, and we somehow managed to have plenty of candy end up on the actual house and not just in their mouths! 

 The house on the left is one Matisyn made at school.  We made the big house and tree together.
