 Emilyn's first fashion statement in 2013!
Matt had to work on New Year's Day so we had a lazy morning, the kids dressed themselves!, and then we spent the afternoon together.  Matt played with the girls in the snow and then we tried to see a movie.  When the theater was too crazy, we headed over to the Dinosaur Museum.  Lucas's first morning of the New Year was spent sleeping in our bed, one of his favorite places. 

 One of the days Matt was home he helped the girls build two snow forts.  This was one of them.  The girls went out to play in it the last day before vacation was over.  I love the one of Matisyn getting stuck.  She couldn't fit through the hole with all of her snow clothes on.  She finally gave up and climbed over the top!

 For Thanksgiving, first I drived to California!  :)  By Matisyn

 The dome from Santa, there is still too much snow and ice for the girls to play on it.  It has been FREEZING here.  The snow hasn't melted from the street, and everyone pretty much hides out inside.

 Emilyn's first day in BIG GIRL PRIMARY!  She was so excited to be graduating from nursery and moving on to primary.  She couldn't wait to go to class, and had no problem going in by herself.  She was so proud of her "I am a Child of God" crown that she made and didn't seem to mind that most of her friends ended up in the other class.  When we walked in all the seats with her class were taken.  She didn't get upset, she just found a chair and pulled it right up next to her best friend Lillie even though it was right in the middle of the aisle!  She is getting to be so grown up!

 We created a light print of a picture of Grandma Karen holding baby brother, then Matisyn, Me, and Emilyn.  Matisyn water colored it to look so beautiful.  She even added the BYU to Grandma Karen's shirt because she said that is her favorite shirt!  Notice how Emilyn's face looks like a clown...that was not an accident!!!

 Both girls on the first Sunday of the new year.  Matisyn dressed her doll Mckenna up for church too.

 "Matisyn's Jokes"  She's been writing down Christmas jokes and telling them to us each night.

 The girls are on a Star Wars kick again.  One of the times they were watching an episode Matisyn decided to draw a picture of each of her favorite characters.  C3PO, Yoda, Darth Vader, R2D2, and Chewie.  They were so cute!  She loves the princesses best, but wasn't sure how to draw them.
