First Cereal/Work Party

Emilyn got her first real food, if you can call it that, on Thursday. The doctor said that rice cereal is heavier, so it might be a good idea to start giving her some. I know you think she doesn't seem to be malnourished in any way and extra food seems a little crazy... but they said it would be easier for her to keep down with her reflux. She didn't swallow much of it, I don't think. But she seemed to enjoy moving it around on her tongue and grabbing the spoon away from me. I just let her get messy and play with the texture, and then hosed her down in the sink. She's so cute!

On Friday we went to Matt's summer work party. It's always fun to get together with his friends from work, and Matisyn had a blast playing the different games. She loved the water balloons, races, and making masks, but she could hardly contain herself with the rockets. She couldn't wait to shoot her rocket off with Daddy. She would shoot it off, chase it, and do it again, over and over and over. Emilyn happily sat in the stroller for most of the evening.

The girls first football game supporting freshman cousin CJ. Emilyn sat with Grandma and I chased Matisyn all over because she wanted to be down on the field with Daddy taking pictures.

The first time trying out our double stroller in double big girl mode. I can't believe Emilyn is big enough to sit up like this already.
