New Job

Well today was Matt's first day at a new job. It was a tough decision for him, but after a lot of careful thought and consideration we decided this was a great move for him. He actually didn't go out looking, although he wasn't loving doing sales, and missed the marketing part of his job at Progress. A recruiter called out of the blue and asked him to interview for a Marketing Manager position at a different Provo company. He hesitated because he loves the people so much at Progress and struggled at the thought of a big change. If you know anything about Matt and I you know we are not quick to change. We took forever to decide to get married, have kids, buy our house, etc. Small decisions, no big deal, but big ones we like to know for sure. He had three different interviews before he was finally offered the job. By then we were really hopeful and really felt like this would be an amazing opportunity for him. He started today, and so far so good. He feels like he can really make a difference at this company, and it is a place that he can grow and do what he does best, marketing. We're so excited for this opportunity, especially in the midst of this economy. The new job is at Powder River, and if you can believe it he is marketing more random things than hitches. The company sells cattle fencing and other things for cows (this is coming from my expert farming vocabulary and experience!), I'm sure I'll be a pro soon enough. Here is to a new beginning!
