Lucas is 9 Months Old!  Here are some things about our adorable little guy:

• He spends a lot of time in the "attempting to crawl" position.  He is rocking on his hands and knees, and rolls and lunges for anything he wants.  He has no problem rolling himself all over the room to find a nice electrical outlet or choking hazard!  We have to watch him constantly!
• He already has an affinity toward all things boy.  He seems to have a magnetic pull toward trucks, cars, guns, balls, and fire!  We don't have very many boy things at our house yet, but he always seems to find them everywhere we go.
• He thinks his sisters are very funny.  They protect him, run to him, hug him, play with him, drag him, cheer for him, and love him to pieces.
• He is starting to eat a bigger variety of foods.  He has tried more people food lately, and seems to like it.  He gets baby food for breakfast and dinner.  I don't always look forward to feeding him because he isn't the best eater of baby food anymore.  He is still a great nurser, and although very easily distracted, he is fast and efficient!  When it comes to baby food he might refuse to eat something that he loved the day before.  You never know what you're going to get when you go to feed him.  He definitely still eats better when Matt feeds him.  Or maybe it is just that Matt is good at making him laugh and slipping bites in while his mouth is open!
• He loves to take baths.  You have to watch him close because he will go into crawling position and fall forward into the water in pursuit of a bath toy!  
• He goes in sleeping phases, some are better than others.  He has slept through the night occasionally, and sometimes wakes up more than once, but most of the time wakes up one time.  He goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and is up around 6 or 7 with a wake up in between. He takes a morning and afternoon nap.  He often falls asleep nursing at night.  Sometimes he cries when I put him down, but it's usually short, and sometimes he just rolls over and goes to sleep.
• He thinks Mommy and Daddy are super stars!  He lights up when either of us come into a room.  He loves people in general and still gives big smiles to everyone he sees.  He can sometimes be calmed best by his Mommy though!
• He loves his binky.
• Everything, everything, everything goes into his mouth!  I have to search the floor before I put him down because he can find the tiniest, yuckiest things to put in there.  I'm sure he is building a strong immune system!
• He flew for the second time on an airplane on the day he turned 9 months old!
