Christmas Morning

Uncle Chunk spent the night at my mom's house Christmas Eve so that he could be with us to watch the kids and see what Santa brought.  He was a great sport about waking up early!  Matisyn slept in our room so that we could know when she woke up, instead of in Grandma's room where she had been sleeping.  She woke up first when it was still dark and she was so good to go back to sleep when I told her it wasn't time yet.  She didn't wake up again until later that morning about 7:00 a.m.  Then we kept her in our room for a little bit longer while we waited for sounds from the rest of the house.  Emilyn has been climbing out of her playpen in the mornings and after naps, roaming the house causing trouble.  Luckily on this day she woke up Grandma too.  We knocked on John and Ayme's door, and when everyone was ready, around 7:30 (which I thought was a miracle!), set the kids loose to see what Santa had brought.  Here are my normal billions of pictures to capture the morning!

 Santa brought Matisyn a castle with the furniture for two more rooms and a horse and carriage to go with it.  She also got a koo koo bird and makeup like she had been requesting!  :)  Her stocking was full of other yummy treats and trinkets too.  She was very happy and showed her drama and excitement fully while she was exploring her loot and playing with her castle.  She got Scooby and the gang characters the night before and loved setting up mysteries for them in the castle!  She is so creative and imaginative and I love watching what she comes up with.

 Emilyn got a Barbie Quad, an Alphie robot with games, and some special treats in her stocking.  She was so excited too, and headed straight outside in the cold to try out her quad right away!

 

 Zoobles are big this year too!  They each got a new one from Santa.

 Trinity got a new trike and a soft chair.  She is a little quieter and cautious than my girls, but still seemed pleased with her things.  I think she enjoyed watching my little bouncing girls just as much as opening her presents!

 Santa also came for the adults.  He was very generous bringing Sees treats, a life-time supply of crazy glue, a picture key chain, and some restaurant gift cards.

 We usually open our presents on Christmas Eve with my family except for the ones from Santa, but we ran out of time the night before.  We finished the rest of them up Christmas morning.  The princess dresses were from us to the girls, Ariel for Matisyn and Rapunzel for Emilyn, as was the Buzz Lightyear for Emilyn.  It was a big Disney Store Christmas from us to the girls this year because of our Disneyland trip.  They are into everything Disney right now.
