We wanted a little more time visiting in California then Matt's days away from work would provide, so I decided to book us some flights awhile back.  We flew into Oakland on Saturday, the day after Matisyn got out of school, and Matt drove out to meet us on Christmas Eve.  Both girls were good in the airport, but it made me laugh that I was pushing a stroller with the five year old riding and the two year old walking next to me pulling her piggy pack!  The flight was pretty uneventful, but stressful as always.  Matisyn was really good and just ate her snacks, colored, and watched the ipad.  Emilyn was a little terror the whole time, she is acting very two right now, and I was exhausted and relieved when we touched down!  The girls were so excited to get to see Grandma and our other friends and family.  They ran screaming to Grandma when they saw her. 

 We stopped at Macaroni Grill for lunch on the way home.  Matisyn drew this beautiful portrait of Grandma Karen.  She wanted to get it just right, so she asked Grandma, "What are those lines all over your neck?"  My mom couldn't stop laughing enough to tell her they were wrinkles.  She drew them in for accuracy though, they are the brown lines under her blue head! 

Emilyn fell asleep right after lunch, she was so tired!

The day before we left we went out to breakfast to celebrate Kelly's birthday!
